Jackson supports Financial Literacy Month with Partnership with Junior Achievement

Grand Rapids, Mich. - Junior Achievement of Mid Michigan is very pleased to recognize Jackson Financial as the JA Financial Literacy Pillar Sponsor and celebrate Jackson Financial's impact on Mid Michigan youth during April, which is nationally recognized as Financial Literacy Month.

“Jackson’s renewal of their Financial Literacy Pillar Sponsorship demonstrates their desire to make lasting impact both at the school level and in our local communities,” said Bill Coderre, JAMGL President and CEO. “Their significant support allows JA to not only continue our work in the area, but to increase our reach and provide even more students with the tools they need to become successful adults.”

Jackson’s partnership also assists JA in preparing for the new personal finance graduation requirement which will impact the first cohort students who will be graduating in 2028. “We are currently working with schools from across the area in utilizing and implementing JA programs to fulfill their students’ personal finance graduation requirement,” said Coderre. “Having companies like Jackson who are committed to this mission allows us to increase high school programming.”

Jackson has served as a JA of Mid Michigan partner since 2007, providing both financial and volunteer support throughout the years. This year, they have increased their volunteer support to include participation in a JA Career Speaker Day and a JA in a Day, both at Sexton High School. In both of these volunteer events, Jackson employees will spend a day at Sexton High School sharing both career and financial literacy with the students.

“By giving back as volunteers with Junior Achievement, we are able to impact local students and make lasting impressions,” said Danielle Robinson, vice president, corporate communications and responsibility at Jackson. “Employee participation is a critical part of the company’s commitment to strengthen families and create economic opportunities in our local communities.”
